Fancy Feet Day
Wow - we are a creative bunch of people. Our feet looked amazing today as we wore our fancy shoes.
Can you guess who is wearing these shoes?

Mr Lindsay
On Wednesday Mr Lindsay left our school after working here for over 20 years.
We had a special assembly to say Goodbye to him.
All the children wrote a message and we put them into a book for him.

Movin' March Week
This week is Movin' March. We are encouraging everyone
to walk to school - at least from the top of the stairs. I wonder if
Room 4 can all be walkers this week!!
As you are walking to school use your senses...
What can you see?
What can you hear?
What can you feel?
What can you smell?
What can you touch?
We are having a Fancy Feet day on Friday 28th. Now is the time to start thinking how you will decorate your shoes or feet. How creative can you be?

Make it rain
Make it Rain
19/3/14
What we need
· Very hot water
· Plate
· Ice
What we did
· We put the hot water in
the glass
· Cover the glass with the
plate
What do we think will happen?
· The water will get cold
· The plate will get hot
· The glass will turn fuzzy
How will we know
· We would use our looking
eyes
· The insides of the glass
had drips on
· Steam came from the hot
water and hit the cold plate
· The plate was warm
Now
we put some ice on the plate to make it really cold
We
lifted the plate off the glass and on the bottom of the plate there were some drips – it was like rain
Dean
was dripped on !! It was like a rain cloud
Where did the water on the plate come from?
· The hot water turned into
steam (water vapour) and hit the cold plate and it turned back to water
(condensation)

· The dye will go into the
water
How will we know
· We will use our looking
eyes
The
dye went through the foam and dripped into the water slowly
It
looked like rain

What we did
We
painted ourselves with water on the concrete
What do we think will happen?
The
water will dry and we won’t be able to see it – Lydia
It
will fade – Kingston
It
will be invisible – Charlie
It
will dry out from the sun – Kate
It
will dry into the concrete – Phoebe G
It
will dry by tomorrow – Lachlan
When
it dries we won’t know where ours is – Declan
It
will have dissolved – Phoebe R
How will we know
We
will use our looking eyes
What did happen
we looked at where we painted and our paintings were all gone so we were right that they would disappear
we looked at where we painted and our paintings were all gone so we were right that they would disappear
Where did the water go?
Into
the concrete?
It's
invisible
The
sun dried it
It
dries up into the clouds and we can see it when it rains
From the scientist
The
scientist says that the water has evaporated. This means that the water has
changed from being a liquid to a gas. The sun and wind dried up the water and
turned it into water vapour
and it is now in the air.
